Honest Children

So until today I never realized how honest children really are. James who is now 5 was the most honest I have heard him be. Some of it I cant share with you but I can share the one that happened at the dinner table tonight. I put the bowl of tuna casserole in front of James and he looked at it and then looked at me and said "what is this"? I told him and his comment was "well whatever it is it looks disgusting". I laughed and then asked him why. He said 'I don't know it just does". Well he ate it and asked for seconds so he must have gotten past the look of it. It made me think about how innocent and truthful children really are.

Below are a few more pictures from vacation. After these I will move onto other things....I already have some funny ones to share with you. I will give you a hint...we are working with Matthew on potty training. Yes, my almost 4 year old wants nothing to do with it but my 19 month old is totally into it. Oh well!!

More Camping/Vacation Pictures

Sorry I'm sharing the pictures slowly. Some nights uploading pictures can take a while. It was rainy and cold a few days of our vacation so we had to find things to do. This was not all bad because it gave us the time we needed to rest. One day we took the kids bowling. They had a lot of fun. This was the 1st time for James and Sally and they now ask me everyday "Can we go bowling today??" It is so neat to see them experience new things. We even took them to Red Lobster for dinner one night. This was the 1st time we had taken them to a "fancy" restaurant and they did very well. Sally wanted nothing to do with seafood but James was willing to try anything. His new favorite food is shrimp. Matthew on Sally's Princess bike. On this trip Matthew got a new "boy" bike.

This is Dozer. He belonged to the campground owner and every night at dinner time he made his way around to see who was going to feed him. He was a very nice dog and the kids loved him. Even Sally liked him after a few days.

They loved doing it themselves.

Just a spectator!!

Hanna was not picking her nose at least I don't think she was. HAHA Love ya Hanna!!!

Vacation-Eating Ice Cream

We all had a wonderful time on vacation. The weather was a little wet and cold for a few days but it was fine with me....it was relaxing and just nice not to be home and not working. As you will see below the kids are enjoying ice cream and just so you know they had ice cream at least 10 times in 9 days. Spoiled aren't they!!!

Vacation - Part 1

I cant believe we have been here for 3 days already. The last two days have been beautiful and very relaxing. We went to the pool for a short time but the water was cold. The kids are getting all kinds of exercise. The 4th child in our pictures is Hanna. She came along for the trip and has been a big help with the kids. It has rained on and off today but we spent part of the day at the mall and then wondered for a while. Dinner is about done so I will have to get to it but I will update again later.

A day at the zoo!

We spent Father's day at the John Ball Zoo with the kids and some dear friends. It was a little hot but we found all the shade we could. The kids had a lot of fun and they all got new hats to help keep the sun out of there eyes. We are all pretty tired and a little hot but it was some awesome family time. We will be on vacation in 5 days (our first family vacation--besides long weekends) and we are going to enjoy 9 days of rest, swimming, walking and just hanging out. I will be sure to post pictures during the vacation--unless I'm too lazy--haha!!! Hope you are all enjoying your summer as much as we are.

As you can see Matthew is taking a cat nap. I was jealous!!

Sally and James enjoying the petting farm.

Matthew now prefers to walk and not ride. He is getting very independent.

These bears were very funny!! They were playing in a tub of water and they were so cute. James wanted to bring them home.

Sprinkler Fun!!

I know what you are going to think when you look at the pictures below!! When has a been warm enough to play in a sprinkler. Well after being asked a 100 times in an hour "Can we go play in the sprinkler PLEASE" I didn't care what the temperature was outside as long as they stopped asking me. So Sunday I let them go have some fun. Matthew was not impressed at all but the other two had a ton of fun. They were only out there about 30 minutes before it started to rain and get windy but they were finally satisfied. Drying off before it started to rain!!

Daddy was waiting for them to get close to it and then he turned it on. They fell for this trick about 10 times. Silly kids!!

Matthew observing!!

Loving every moment!!!!
Now I hear "when can we get the slip-n-slide out". I wish the warmer weather would get here soon.
